Lettings and Property Management in Reading


Silverwood Lettings Ltd are an independent letting agent based in Reading. 

We are a local family run business with over 20 years experience in Property Management & Renovation.

Based in Tilehurst we offer a personal bespoke service and will manage your property with pride.

Our mission is to remove the stress of letting your property and provide a personal bespoke service for both landlord and tenant.


As working from home is the new normal, we are able to keep our fees competitive as we don't have the usual overheads of other high street agencies.

We offer 3 levels of service to suit every client and as we are a small agency we can offer assurance of clear communication as you will be dealing directly with the directors at all stages of the process.

We have a complete team of maintenance contractors and working closley with our sister company DJP (BBK) Ltd we can offer a full property renovation service to enhance your existing property or update a new run down property. If you are looking for a new investment property we can attend visits to offer advice on renovations.

From our team of approved contractors we are able to offer additional services like regular cleaning and gardening services whilst a property is let to help keep it maintained.




We are members of ARLA Propertymark which means we meet higher industry standards than the law demands. Our experts undertake regular training to ensure they are up to date with best practice and complex legislative changes, so they can offer you the best advice. We are also backed by a Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme which guarantees your money is protected.


We list properties on Zoopla and Social Media and register Deposits with mydeposits.


Find a Tenant

We will find you a tenant, completing all necessary checks and paperwork.


Rent Collection

In addition to the Find a Tenant service, we will collect the monthly rent and pass it through to you (less our agreed monthly fee)

Should the rent not be paid we will chase the rent for you keeping you fully informed.


Fully Managed

In addition to the Rent collection service, in preparation for the tenancy starting we will arrange professional cleaning of your property and a complete inventory report. We will complete quarterly visits and provide a report and photos of your property.

We will be the first point of contact incase of any issues for your tenant and oversee repairs and maintenance.

Should there be any repair or maintenance needed, we will provide competitive quotes from our team of approved contractors and arrange for them to complete the necessary works.

We will also provide a Property Welcome Pack for your new tenant which will include details for emergency assistance, some useful local information, appliance manuals (if provided by the landlord)

With our Fully Managed service, if requested, the Landlord address details can show as c/o our agency.

We've partnered with Goodlord to offer our tenants and landlords a speedy rental experience that can be completed from anywhere. This online platform helps tenants get into their new homes as quickly as possible, with a streamlined, digital application process, including contract signing, deposit payments, and an audit trail of all documents supplied to help landlords stay compliant.

DJP BBK LTD - PROPERTY RENOVATION

We've partnered with DJP, a local Reading based property renovation company, with over 20 years experience.  This allows us to have a full team of contractors on hand for all trades relating to property renovation and maintenance to help ensure any maintenance issues are promptly resolved. They can also offer a full turn key property renovation service to help get your property ready for letting.

We've partnered with KPR - Keystone Property Reports to help manage your property. Working with Tenants, the portal allows tenants to access Digitial Copies of the reports such as check in, inventory, mid term inspections, check out, and the ability to E sign. A Document Vault to store important documents from instruction manuals to help sheets for condensation/mould/fire safety, copies of Gas Safety certificates and any other tenant related documents. There is a two way communication which is date and time stamped. The tenant also has the ability to carry out self assessment reports on the property. For maintenance the tenant can report maintenance via their Tenant Portal, Branded QR Code specific to the property or via the webpage above.


We've partnered with The Tenant Shop to ensure a smooth transition for Council, Water, Gas and Electricity notifications for both new and vacating tenants, ensuring all bills are allocated correctly based on the meter readings provided. They also provide free impartial support to tenants looking to switch their TV, broadband, utilities and even a removals service with their trusted list of recommended suppliers.

We've partnered with JC Cleaning Services to ensure our properties are presented and handed over in a clean state. A local Reading based cleaning company, who take immense pride in cleaning properties for both landlords and tenants. Move in cleans, End of tenancy cleans, regular cleaning.
